The Power of Augmented Reality

HanaHaus x Membit

Both an illusion and reality, augmented reality (AR) continues to grow in popularity as time progresses. AR is an interactive experience that uses computer-generated elements to enhance the real world. Manipulation of the physical world can be experienced through AR goggles or a phone’s camera, for example. As businesses slowly realize the value that AR holds, one business in particular has already come to this realization.

For Membit, AR isn’t just the future but also a new way to share memories. Created by one of HanaHaus’ very own customers, Jay Van Buren, Membit is an Augmented Reality story-telling platform. With Membit, it’s easy to create no-code place-based augmented reality experiences anywhere without a marker or QR code. Membit customers have used it to create non-fiction history tours, but this month we’re using it to share some fun ghost stories in Downtown Palo Alto.

At HanaHaus, we believe AR will be a gamechanger. During the month of December, HanaHaus Palo Alto and Membit will be collaborating to offer you 1 day of free open seating for completing Membit’s AR Ghost Hunt in Downtown Palo Alto. To learn more about the hunt, come into HanaHaus Palo Alto (456 University Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94301) and speak with our front desk ambassadors.
