Dr. Seema Arora is a PhD economist and the nation’s leading expert on ESG issues. She has conducted pioneering research for over 20+ years. Her dissertation titled, “Voluntary Overcompliance with Environmental Standards: Theory and Empirical Evidence” showed that the environment could be a business opportunity and that business is an important part of solving environmental problems.
Koz Khosravani is a real-life hero who rescued a woman stranded in the ocean for over 12 hours according to his LA Times news article. His courageous story will be told in theaters coming soon. He is a regular at HanaHaus Newport Beach and spends him time in the workspace working on his company Deep Mind Branding LLC that focuses on technologies for cyber security and digital marketing. He also is an Executive Coach where he teaches executives how to get clarity in the mind and attain mental toughness.
Andrea Abel van Es is a freelance Peace and Conflict Research Consultant, currently working with Energy Peace Partners to support the extension of renewable energy to some of the most vulnerable populations on the planet.
Josh & Sara Duke are power duo who enjoys sharing stories and lifestyle advice on TikTok and most recently their podcast series The Duke Project. They run a marketing agency called Digital Rover focused on storytelling, content creation, and social media for small businesses.
Grace Anne Belangia is a HanaHaus Palo Alto regular. She is a national speaker, and a dynamic, driven and award-winning community development strategist and entrepreneur. She co-founded Make Startups where they accredit public and private sector organizations to ensure entrepreneur training standards and unlock funding to support their organizations and entrepreneurs.
Last week we were in for a special treat —NVT Leaders visited HanaHaus in Newport Beach and Palo Alto to meet fellow colleagues and get a glimpse of our vibrant coworking community.
Believe it or not, 2022 was the first year we celebrated HanaHaus Newport Beach’s birthday in-person. The past 2 birthdays were commemorated virtually with a limited possibility to form connections with our community. So this year was our chance to showcase our appreciation for our friends of HanaHaus that keep our workspace buzzing with lively energy.
Alan Hyppolite is one of our first timers at HanaHaus who fell in love with the coworking culture. He is digital creative currently working with 3:5 Creatives which is a creative agency and studio. He loves everything marketing, technology, innovation -- hacking his first computer at 11-years-old.

Marcos Mazariegos who is often mistaken as Drake or Bad Bunny, hails from the beautiful country of Guatemala. He is a frequent regular at Newport Beach. As a recent graduate from Chapman University, Marcos fell in love with the Orange County scene with its beachy views and laidback lifestyle. He has plans to visit Iran with his girlfriend later this year and is an overall warm and friendly person.
To honor our 6th birthday, we celebrate this milestone virtually and cheers to a bigger and brighter future ahead of us. As part of our virtual celebration, we sat down with the Global Head of HanaHaus, Daniel Zimmer, to reflect on HanaHaus’ journey over the years and discuss its evolution into a thriving community in downtown Palo Alto.
As we enter the year of 2021, we reflect on such a historical year for many families, communities, and businesses. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, HanaHaus has remained close since March 21st, 2020, but these times adversely brought amazing opportunities for changes and innovation within our business. As the world around us adapted to the “new normal”, our team came together to make use of these times to expand our community beyond our space.
Kristine Leetberg is our loving, caring, and passionate Software Development Intern at HanaHaus. She joined us a year ago in hopes to learn and grown. However, she has done much more by going above and beyond all expectations to bring our HanaHaus community the best experience.

Carrie Friedberg has been teaching individuals, families and small business owners all over the world how to align their spending, saving and earning with their values since 2010. At the age of 30, Carrie realized she had never balanced a checkbook, stuck to a budget or been able to sustain savings. She thought that financial freedom meant “swiping the card!” So began her quest for a financial education.
Ankesh Kumar is a start-up entrepreneur. He has started numerous companies, two exits, one without raising money, the other raised $50m in venture funding, sold some patents/IP to Google. Currently working on two start-ups, Slide, an app for friends to plan social experiences and Sharetivity, to help salespeople create personalized messages when prospecting.
On Tuesday, May 19, HanaHaus hosted its second installment of the SAP Virtual Speaker Series featuring Co-Directors Humera Fasihuddin and Leticia Britos Cavagnaro of the University Innovation Fellows (UIF) Program at Stanford University’s d.school for an engaging panel discussion to share strategies that can help drive innovation across an organization.
Jenny Kim is a User Experience Designer based out of Irvine. She has been working from SAP since last year. She was been a regular at HanaHaus for a very long time. Today, she joins us to tell her experience with HanaHaus and her transition from working in an office to working at home.
Hans-Martin Will started his career at the SAP Innovation Center in Newport Beach a little over a year ago. In this time, he has taken on additional responsibilities and climbed the ranks to become the Global Head of the SAP Innovation Center Network, managing a variety of teams across the globe.
