Join us for an evening conversation with Tim Hockin, Principal Software Engineer at Google and co-founder of the Kubernetes project.

Tim will touch upon how Kubernetes has evolved into the most popular container orchestration solution and the great opportunities and challenges in this journey. Moreover, we will talk about how the ecosystem and open source community contributed to the evolution of the project and complementary solutions.

Tim Hockin
Principal Software Engineer at Google

Tim Hockin is Principal Software Engineer at Google, where he works on the Kubernetes and Google Container Engine (GKE). Tim is a co-founder of the project, and he is responsible for topics like networking, storage, node, federation, resource isolation, and cluster sharing. Before Kubernetes, he worked on Google's Borg and Omega projects, and before that he enjoyed playing at the boundary between hardware and software in Google's production fleet.

Global Vice President, Head of Technology and Innovation Strategy, SAP

Yaad Oren is leading SAP Technology and Innovation strategy and is part of the SAP CTO organization. Yaad is working together with SAP leadership to drive SAP Technology and Innovation strategy, with a key focus on identifying new innovative technologies and growth opportunities.

Yaad is also the Lead Technical Advisor for SAP.iO Fund which invests in the next generation of enterprise software startups.

In his previous roles, Yaad was managing the SAP Platform and Technology Corporate Strategy team in the SAP office of the CEO and was part of the SAP Product and Innovation group for 10 years, filling several managerial positions in the areas of product management and development.
