This summer, HanaHaus and Lido Village Books teamed up to bring you Cookbook Book Club — a Sunday afternoon series built around good food, good company, and great views.

The premise was simple: each month, we picked a cookbook, and participants picked a recipe from it to cook and bring to share.

We hosted four gatherings this summer, each one featuring its own unique take on summer flavors. The cookbooks included:

  • Dig In! by Erin O'Brien — the debut cookbook from the beloved content creator, packed with over 100 easy, comforting recipes inspired by three generations of women in her family, from weeknight staples to crowd-pleasing favorites.

  • Spain My Way by José Andrés — a vibrant tour through the celebrated chef's home country, gathering his most cherished recipes alongside the people, places, and stories that shaped them.

  • Six California Kitchens by Sally Schmitt — a memoir-meets-cookbook from the founding chef of The French Laundry, tracing her life through the six kitchens where she helped define farm-to-table Northern California cooking.

  • Cake Picnic by Elisa Sunga — from the founder of the wildly popular Cake Picnic gatherings, a joyful collection of cake recipes paired with a guide to hosting your own whole-cake potlucks with friends.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to those who missed out, all the cookbooks can be ordered from Lido Village Books. Stay tuned for a Christmas Holiday edition!
